AROUND The hidden field
We have loads of exciting things to do in Cornwall. From waterspouts and boat hire to galleries and quiet walks in historic houses and gardens. Highly active families can explore water parks and numerous outdoor activities. If you like mountain biking there is a off road trail park just down the road (Cafe for parents!) Shop in Truro for all the brands, Falmouth for cool and funky and at the 5 nearby supermarket chains including Waitrose, Sainsbury, Tesco, M&S and Llidl.
If you want to experience a museum or historic house then there is lots within 5-20 miles of the site. Pre-booking activities in summer is worthwhile. Jet ski hire and safaris from Newquay and a quad bike centre in the local village may be good for a non-beach day. Please see the "Things to do and eat" page for listings.
HORSEBACK RIDING
If you like riding there are various centres in Cornwall.
You can book trail rides or hacks to the beach. Search online for open centres as restrictions have had an impact of our most local one.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
There are over 25kms of byways and pathways leading from the farm. You can also visit the mountain bike centre nearby and use their excellent trails.
Bikes can be locked up on site if required.
Kayaking & Boat hire
You can hire surf boards on most beaches. Kayaks and Boat hire is well serviced from Mylor which is 8 miles. Or Newquay which is a bit further. Various fishing trips from Falmouth or Newquay. Gylly Beach (Falmouth) Hire SUPS and has an amazing cafe on the beach.
